Cengage Education is proud to announce that we have been accorded recognition by the New South Wales Department of Education and Training as a higher education institution, and have received accreditation for our first degree, a Bachelor of Accounting.
This fully accredited and recognised higher education award is offered in association with the National Institute of Accountants and in partnership with the Australian Institute of Company Directors, the Australian Institute of Credit Management and the Marketing Association of Australia and New Zealand. The degree provides a direct pathway for vocational graduates into a higher education award, and is recognised by the International Federation of Accountants.
The Bachelor of Accounting provides the required knowledge and skills to start or enhance a career in accounting. Our partnership with industry peak bodies means that the course content is relevant and practical. A comprehensive brochure is available.

† Your only obligations with respect to workload are to observe the prerequisite and progression requirements and to complete the degree within seven years from the date of your initial enrolment.

- Corporate Governance (in association with the Australian Institute of Company Directors).
- Marketing (in association with the Marketing Association of Australia and New Zealand).
- Sport Management (in association with Sport Knowledge Australia, which is affiliated with the University of Sydney, University of Technology Sydney and the Sydney Olympic Park Authority).
- Event and Facility Management (in association with Sport Knowledge Australia, which is affiliated with the University of Sydney, University of Technology Sydney and the Sydney Olympic Park Authority).
- Financial Management and Compliance (in association with the Australian Institute of Credit Management).
- Information and Communications Technology Management (in association with the Australian Computer Society).
- Logistics Management (in association with the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport).
- Occupational Health and Safety (in association with the National Safety Council of Australia).
- General Management. ††
Other courses, including Logistics, Project Management and Health Sciences, will also be developed in association with industry partners.
Some of the Units in the Bachelor of Accounting degree are core Units in these degrees, others electives. Students who wish to transfer between Cengage Education degrees can do so easily and achieve full recognition of Units successfully completed.
Likewise, students wishing to transfer to other institutions, public or private, will be eligible to apply for Advanced Standing for cognate or equivalent Units in degrees offered by these institutions. However, students must conduct their own inquiries into exactly how much Advanced Standing other institutions will grant towards specific awards.
